Players from Fulham Football Club have given their teammate Samuel Chukwueze a new nickname.
Super Eagles stars Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi both found the net for Fulham in their thrilling 5–4 loss to Manchester City on Tuesday night.
The AC Milan loanee scored twice for his Premier League team at Craven Cottage, and following his impressive performance, his teammate Alex Iwobi shared that he is now referred to as Chukwu-magic in the club's dressing room.
Fulham features three Nigerian internationals — Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi, and Calvin Bassey — and all three played against Pep Guardiola’s team on Tuesday night.
Iwobi told FFC TV: “His nickname at the training ground is Chukwu-magic,” explaining that the former Villarreal player performs some extraordinary feats during practice. Now he’s also delivering results — scoring goals and creating opportunities.”
Iwobi emphasized that Chukwueze’s creativity makes him an especially valuable player.
Fulham’s next match is a home game against Crystal Palace in a London derby.
