Wolves forward, Matheus Cunha, has agreed a five-year contract with Manchester United.
According to Goal, Cunha is also set to take Marcus Rashford’s shirt number at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian is set to become Ruben Amorim’s first arrival this summer.
United finished the 2024/2025 campaign in 15th place to round off a miserable first year for Amorim.
Since he replaced Erik ten Hag, Amorim has only won 17 out of 48 games.
But the United board will keep the 40-year-old and support his rebuilding with new signings.
The club will open negotiations with Wolves this week in order to trigger Cunha’s £62.5 million release clause.
Cunha is expected to wear Rashford’s No. 10 jersey next season.
The decision has been taken with Rashford expected to seal a permanent move away from the club after an impressive six-month loan spell at Aston Villa.
