And Jorgensen – in for only his ninth start of the season between the sticks – was at least partly at fault for two of the three late goals.

The Danish international’s first mistake sent Fernandez into a frenzy.

Jorgensen had options left and right but opted for a risky pass through the centre, which was cut out by Bradley Barcola.

Moments later, Vitinha was teed up to lob over Jorgensen and put 3-2 up.

Cameras caught Fernandez bellowing at Jorgensen, flailing his arms around and launching a ball at him in the aftermath.

Jorgensen gave a bit back but many Chelsea fans were on the midfielder’s side.

Social media was full of X users slamming Jorgensen, with some suggesting his error was worse than on Tuesday night.
