THE Enhanced Games kicks off TONIGHT in Las Vegas, and it is one of sport’s most controversial events in history.
Backed by co-founder Peter Thiel and , the Enhanced Games feature events, but are encouraging athletes to use performance enhancing drugs.

British swimmer is one athlete who has signed up for the competition – he won the silver medal in the 50m freestyle at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
The 31-year-old retired from international swimming in September 2025 to enter the Enhanced Games, knowing he would be banned from competing if he chose to return.
and Mitchell Hooper are going head-to-head in the deadlift event, with both former World’s Strongest Men looking to break the world record of 510kg set by the Icelander.
American sprinter Fred Kerley is perhaps the most well known name to sign up after he won silver at the in the 100m.

When are the Enhanced Games taking place?
- The Enhanced games begins in the late hours of Sunday, May 24.
- It will finish in the early hours of Monday, May 25.
- Las Vegas’ Resorts World will host the action, which holds 2,500 people.
- DJ Alan Walker, Farruko and The Killers will perform at the event.

- In the UK, the event will not be broadcast on TV.

Enhanced Games 2026 prize money
The total prize money pool is worth $25 million, with athletes able to earn huge amounts of money if they are able to break a world record.

For the 100m sprint and 50m freestyle swimming, any athlete who breaks the official world record will earn themselves a huge $1 million.
