Should Thomas Tuchel’s side get past the African nation, they will face either Mexico or Ecuador for a place in the quarter-finals.
A last-eight clash could then await against Brazil, Japan, Ivory Coast or Norway.
After that, a with reigning champions Argentina or Colombia could stand in England’s way – France, Spain, Germany, Portugal and Holland all on the other side of the draw.
With several tournament heavyweights avoided until the latter stages, many fans believe this could be England’s best chance yet to end 60 years of hurt.
