FANS joked that Morgan Gibbs-White should be “sent back on holiday” after a funny TikTok video he recorded with fiancee Britney De Villiers following his England call-up.
The star, 26, initially missed out on ‘s Three Lions squad, only to receive a late call following ‘s withdrawal.
As it turned out, had embarked on a family holiday when he was called up, which he immediately had to leave.
Britney, with whom the midfielder has two young children, made light of the situation with a TikTok video.
In the clip, she and Gibbs-White mimed the words to “Gotta Go My Own Way” from High School Musical 2.
The ace played the role of ‘ character, miming “I gotta go my own way” and waving as he added: “I gotta leave but I’ll miss you.”
Britney wrote: “When he gets a last minute England call-up 2 hours into the family holiday”.
She then captioned the clip, with a laughing emoji: “He was clearly in a really good mood otherwise he’d never make this video with me”.
The funny video swiftly received more than 100,000 likes.
Although some fans gave Gibbs-White some gentle stick.
One wrote: “Should be immediately sent back on holiday for that”.
And a second commented: “This is hilarious. Good for them lol.”
A third quipped: “Yeah.. that’s him out of my fpl team”.
Another added: “Tuchel will see this and send him back to you”.
Having missed out on the World Cup, as well as Tuchel’s initial squad this time around, Gibbs-White will be desperate to impress the Three Lions boss.
He could add to his six caps this Saturday as England host at a sold out Wembley Stadium.
The Three Lions then have two matches against and a trip to before club football resumes in just shy of three weeks.
