EAGLE-EYED England fans were quick to spot a huge mistake in their 2026 World Cup squad announcement video.

The Beatles’ themed montage sped through the selected players’ names which were hidden amongst the hustle of the New York streets.

But despite spelling ‘s name correctly the first time, there was a blunder the second time around.

In big bold yellow font, the Man City ace’s name slid out from behind a poster BUT spelt ‘Nico O’Reilley’.

The promo video opens with a reporter asking if he considers himself very English in 1964 – TWO years before won the World Cup.

Lennon quipped: “I think we’re jolly English actually.”

Then the familiar bass riff and drums fade in as a video montage begins to the famous tune Come Together.

Running through the iconic streets of the Big Apple, a football fan strides along donning a retro Three Lions jumper.

The names of the selected players are names emblazoned across various venues in the cityscape.

Starting with Jordan Pickford’s convenience store – the shop motto is ‘a safe pair of hands’ – which has his legacy number, 1225, emboldened on the shopfront.

The rest of the squad follows with crazed fans waving posters of ‘our man Burn’ and ‘Spence stay forever’.

The two-minute film – directed by Keane Shaw and Pete Martin – is a nod to The Beatles’ cultural impact that they had on the US in the 1960s.

Eventually the montage heads into a psychedelic animation before diving back into the ‘real world’ at a Country Western bar with added karaoke.

Other than the and players, who are involved in two European finals, the rest of the squad are set to travel together on June 1 to their prep camp in Palm Beach Florida.

Then after two warm-up fixtures, the whole squad will travel to their permanent base in Kansas City.

England will kick off their World Cup campaign against on June 17 in Texas, before facing and .
