ENGLAND found themselves trailing DR Congo inside the first 10 minutes of their World Cup last 32 tie.
And while Djed Spence left his man all alone at the backstick to fire past Jordan Pickford, England fans are blaming someone else for the early goal.
Konsa was out of position and that caused Spence to have to tuck in and cover
Three Lions fans believe Ezri Konsa gets caught out of position and that forces Spurs star Spence to have to leave his post and come across.
One fan said: “Spence having to be out of position to track the runner in because Konsa isn’t paying attention. Then Spence sliding in putting off our goalkeeper. Sick one.”
Another commented: “Spence is marking the player inside because Konsa isn’t, and that leaves the goalscorer unmarked. Then Pickford fails to make a near post save. Shambles all round.”
A third wrote: “Defence just running after rabbits. Where was Konsa – Spence rolls in to over cover and Pickford waves it in. Not great.”
