AN Emmerdale star has confirmed their future on the soap after being absent from screens for six months – amid axe fears.

Alfie Clarke, 18, stars as Arthur Thomas, the son of (Charlotte Bellamy).

Although the character has not been featured on-screen since March, meaning Alfie hasn’t filmed since early January.

Taking to Instagram, Alfie dispelled rumours he had quit the soap while paying tribute to his time thus far on .

The young star revealed he was approaching his 17th anniversary since joining the show.

Alfie penned: “17 years ago this month I started at @emmerdale at 22 months old and made great memories that will last forever, can’t wait to film next.”

It came after fans questioned the reason behind the character’s absence in recent weeks.

One wrote in the comments section: “Wow that’s good then.”

Another said: “ Looking forward to what’s coming up for Arthur.”

A third added: “ Cool, hope you’re back ok screen soon.”

While a fourth penned: “We watched you grow through Emmerdale. You’re an amazing young actor, be proud, my lovely.”
