EMMERDALE favourite Dylan Penders quits the village next week as the guilt of his part in the modern slavery and drug dealing ordeals overwhelms him.

The teenager – who is played by actor Fred Kettle in the soap – was used to groom April Windsor into drug dealing and prostitution by Ray Walters and Celia Daniels.

Things took an even darker turn when the pair manipulated Dylan into getting involved in their modern slavery racket, where Bear Wolf was being exploited.

Things took a tragic turn over the new year when after she lied about killing Bear.

Dylan finally found the strength to tell Bear’s dad Paddy what had been happening but with horrific results when Ray began to beat the vet with the intention of killing him.

He was only stopped when , leaving Paddy and Dylan to cover up the killing.

Now next week his guilt will overwhelm him and Dylan will confess to April about what happened.

A furious Paddy can’t believe it when when Dylan confesses to telling April about Ray’s death, and Bear begins to spiral over all the commotion.

When April suggests going to the police Paddy insists this would only look like everyone was involved in a conspiracy and shuts it down.

When Dylan tells Paddy that Ray’s murder is all over the news, Paddy is convinced that getting Bear a counsellor is too risky of an idea at the moment.

Meanwhile, Bear finds April crying, and she admits she is scared the police will charge her for past actions.

Her vulnerability encourages Bear to talk about his sadness over killing Ray, and April reassures him they all care about him and are there for him.

April tries to appeal to Bear, telling him that Ray was a bad man. Frustrated and confused, Bear breaks down.

As Paddy arrives home, he rushes to his dad’s aid, finally realising he needs professional help.

Paddy comforts a guilty April, assuring her Bear’s breakdown wasn’t her fault, before revealing he’s going to organise some counselling for Bear, despite the risks.

During counselling, Bear suffers from such severe guilt.

Simultaneously a distressed Dylan expresses deep self-loathing to Paddy, believing he is a “curse” and insisting he must leave the village.

Meanwhile, a self-hating April rejects Rhona’s arguments that she is a victim of manipulation, insisting she should be punished for selling drugs.

Will Dylan leave the village and will it solve everyone’s problems if he does?
