EMMERDALE star Angela Lonsdale has revealed she’s leaving the soap just months after joining.
The actress is currently playing DS Reid in the village and is part of Charity Dingle’s sexual assault storyline.

Charity was blackmailed by Dr Caitlin Todd over the secret that baby Leyla is actually biologically hers and not granddaughter Sarah’s.
In harrowing scenes, Dr Todd sexually assaulted Charity during a female-on-female assault.
DS Reid’s first appeared on screen as she interviewed Charity at the police station about the attack and has recurred as part of the investigation.

The TV star shared a montage clip of her time on the soap, including snaps of her in front of the The Woolpack pub.
She also shared a picture of her smiling alongside co-stars Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, and Michelle Hardwick, who plays Vanessa Woodfield.
Angela wrote: “What an honour and a privilege to play DS REID and be trusted with such a sensitive storyline.
“Working alongside the phenomenally talented Emma Atkins, Michelle Hardwick and Lawrence Robb and Caroline was one of the highlights of my career.
“Absolutely loved working with you.“
She went on to thank the makeup and costume team, before adding: “The cast and crew made me feel part of the family from day one.
Will miss you all .
“Final Episodes air this week . Big thanks as always to my wonderful agents Kev and Sam.”
Last month, Emmerdale fans were left as evil Dr Todd sexually assaulted Charity.
After finding out that Sarah and Jacob’s baby was actually Ross and Charity’s, she began to blackmail the landlady to get Jacob to drop his bullying complaint on her but is now also demanding £100,000.
Dr Todd demanded the rest of her money but a drunk Charity insisted she had no more to give her.
Slurring her words, Charity told her: “I have begged and I have borrowed and I have stolen, stolen from the people I love.
“Because unlike you, I have people who love me.”
Dr Todd continued to threaten Charity and said she would tell Sarah everything, but Charity insisted that it was time to come clean.
Back at Charity’s house, Dr Todd tried to kiss her but Charity pushed her away and mocked her by calling her a “desperate pathetic witch”.
While an intoxicated Charity fell asleep on the sofa, Dr Todd pretended to leave, but instead lay down beside her and unzipped her trousers.
As she continued to sexually assault her, Charity woke up and in shock said: “What are you doing?”
Emmerdale fans took to social media to share their thoughts about the scene, with some calling it too “graphic”.
One wrote: “I found it disturbing, and wondered why didn’t it happen off screen. But, I think that the reason why I wanted it to happen off screen is because it was so hard to watch. Maybe the producers knew that they would have to be direct for people to understand what was happening.”
A second posted: “I was surprised at how graphic that scene was.”
A third said: “Yeah I couldn’t bring myself to watch right to the end of the episode but then I watched all the way through again later. More graphic than I expected, and considering it was described as ‘sickening’ in spoilers and I would say it lived up to that description.”
“Absolutely shocking how graphic that scene was… I hope she tells someone soon,” a fourth commented.
Viewers have since watched Charity struggle to come to terms with the attack.
Actress Emma said: “This has been one of the most demanding and significant storylines I’ve had to navigate as Charity.
“We know her as a tough, resilient character, but this trauma will expose a deep, raw vulnerability that has been heartbreaking at times to play.
“I hope this storyline gives even one person the courage to speak out or helps others understand the quiet devastation of trauma.”
