Emir of Gusau, Ibrahim Bello is dead

Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Bello, the Emir of Gusau in Zamfara State, has passed away at the age of 71.

Hon. Kabiru Amadu, who represents Gusau/Tsafe in the House of Representatives, confirmed the Emir’s death.

He said the traditional ruler died in an Abuja hospital after being ill for some time.

Dr. Ibrahim Bello was born in 1954. He became the 15th Emir of Gusau on March 16, 2015.

He was appointed by the then governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, shortly after the death of his brother, Alhaji Muhammad Kabiru Danbaba, who was the emir before him. He died on March 5, 2015.

Details about the funeral arrangements are yet to be released
