The Nigeria Police Force Complaint Response Unit, CRU, has responded to a viral video showing officers of “Operation Flush” allegedly breaking into a private residence in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State.

The video, which was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as Michael with the handle @MichaelFrosh32, accused the operatives of attempting to carry out a daylight robbery at a house in the Adebayo area of the city. He also appealed to police authorities to sanction those involved.

Reacting through its official X handle, the Complaint Response Unit acknowledged the report and requested additional information to facilitate a proper investigation.

The CRU wrote: “Dear #MichealFrosh32, kindly provide more details via DM. Thank you for bringing this to the attention of the Police Force. #NoToImpunity.”

Police authorities say an internal review will be initiated as soon as details are made available to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
