Roussillon penned a short-term contract and announced he has now left the Valley.

He wrote in a statement: “The Charlton chapter comes to an end.

“Thank you to the club for the welcome. Every experience is part of the journey.

“A special thanks to the players, wishing them all the best and the club every success moving forward.

“As for me, full focus on the next challenge.”

Roussillon, 33, has now joined Ligue 2 side Amiens.

He arrived at Charlton with a wealth of experience having made 10 Champions League appearances for Wolfsburg.

The Frenchman also played for Union Berlin in the Bundesliga and had Ligue 1 spells at Montpellier and Sochaux.

But he featured in just four matchday squads for the Addicks and only played for the Under-21s side.

Charlton then allowed his contract to run down after signing Luke Chambers on loan from Liverpool.
