EDDIE HEARN has addressed the situation following Anthony Joshua’s serious car accident in Nigeria.

The vehicle involved, a Lexus SUV, reportedly collided with a stationary truck near a petrol station on the busy Lagos-Ibadan highway.
Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene as crowds gathered around the site of the tragic accident.
According to Lanre Ogunlowo, commissioner of Ogun State Police, Joshua was taken to the hospital for treatment.
His promoter Hearn informed the Daily Mail : “I am currently on a family holiday and woke up to the news of this incident.
“We are attempting to reach Anthony, and in the meantime, we do not want to speculate on his condition, but thankfully, he seems to be okay based on the images I have seen.
“We are waiting for more information regarding what has occurred and will provide updates as they become available.”
Stunning footage shows bystanders assisting a visibly shaken Joshua from the wreckage, surrounded by shattered glass.
A witness told PUNCH newspaper : “It was a two-vehicle convoy: a Lexus SUV and a Pajero SUV. Joshua was sitting behind the driver, with another person beside him.
“There was also a passenger sitting next to the driver, making a total of four occupants in the Lexus that crashed.
“His security detail was in the vehicle behind them at the time of the crash.”
He added: “Other witnesses and I began the rescue and signaled oncoming vehicles for assistance.
“A few minutes after the crash, officials from the Federal Road Safety Corps arrived.
“The passenger next to the driver and the one beside Joshua died at the scene.”
Joshua had been vacationing in Nigeria, where his parents were born, after the Christmas period.
Less than two weeks prior, he achieved a sixth-round knockout victory over his opponent.
Joshua remained in America to celebrate the victory over the weekend before returning to London.
The 2012 Olympic gold medalist shared an Instagram story just hours before the accident.
At 36 years old, Joshua has yet to comment on the incident, and the names of the deceased have not been released.
