An EastEnders villain has hinted at a surprising return as she poses with a new cast member following her Christmas exit.

The actress made a stunning comeback on Christmas Eve as part of a significant surprise, revealing her involvement in the campaign of terror against Zoe Slater.

The actress's character left almost as quickly as she arrived.

However, it appears her time in Albert Square may not be over, as actress Tracy-Ann dropped a potential spoiler.

The star shared an Instagram post featuring EastEnders newcomer Ronni Ancona, who is set to debut as Bea, an old school friend of Linda Carter’s.

Since Bea won’t appear on-screen until January, and Chrissie seemingly exited on Christmas Day, their filming schedules wouldn’t have coincided—unless Chrissie isn’t truly gone.

Viewers are aware that Kat Slater has become convinced that Chrissie actually murdered Anthony Trueman and framed Zoe for the crime.

Does this validate that theory? Will Chrissie make another shocking return to Walford?

Tracy-Ann has shared her reasons for returning to the show.

She stated: “I enjoyed my return storyline with Sharon [Letitia Dean] last year so much that when Ben Wadey asked me to come back for Christmas Day, how could I refuse?”

“Chrissie is part of my essence; she is such a fantastic character, so I love the idea of her returning at Christmas to stir up trouble.”

She continued: “What I appreciate about Ben and the team is their openness to discussing the character and her motivations.

“They show great respect for the characters and the actors who created them. We had an extensive discussion about why Chrissie would actually return to the Square and what her motivations are.”

“Who wouldn’t want to be part of a Christmas Day storyline in Albert Square, especially when it involves Chrissie!”

While Chrissie’s return was certainly a surprise, her limited appearance will reunite her with Zoe and Sam Mitchell for the first time in over two decades.

“Ben and I were eager to keep Chrissie’s return completely under wraps, so I’m thrilled that it was kept a secret,” she added.
