EASTENDERS star Heather Peace has shown off her glamorous transformation a year on from her “chemo cut” and brave cancer battle.
The 51-year-old, who is best known for playing in the soap, shared her cancer diagnosis in an emotional video last year.

Heather told how she’d been undergoing treatment and surgery to fight breast cancer.
Now, Heather has shared an update with her fans as she visited the hair salon for a cut.
“It’s been 14 months since my wonderful friend and hair stylist first cut my disastrous chemo hair into the shortest of pixie crops,” said Heather.
The actress sat in the chair ready for a more permanent look as she explained her hair has grown back after chemo.

As she debuted her voluminous new crop, admitted: “I’ve actually got some hair that I love, thanks to you [her hairdresser].”
Looking very chic, Heather beamed in the clip and was overjoyed by her transformation.
She captioned the video, posted to Instagram : “Here we are now with what looks like a mop on my head, ready to cut my hair into something that may stay for a while and isn’t an ‘interim’ cut.
“What a road it’s been; slowly getting back to feeling confident in my skin again.
“Thanks so much Morgan for your time and care on this road.
“You are an artist in your field. You’ve given me so much strength at times when I felt very broken and small 🙂 Feeling very lucky & blessed, H xxx”
with cancer in October 2024 and she wrapped up chemotherapy in May last year.
She previously told her followers and paid tribute to her wife Ellie and their three daughters, Annie, Jessie and Lola, for getting her through it.
Later in 2025, Heather revealed Ellie had also been diagnosed with breast cancer – just months after she had her own surgery to beat the disease.
Heather told the Mirror : “Her breast cancer was a smaller, aggressive lump, so she had a lumpectomy and then radiotherapy.
“Of course then I come along with my 12 cm lump, absolutely ginormous, and mastectomy, chemotherapy, just about to go into radiotherapy.
“She’s like ‘Even that you have to do bigger.’ It’s like ‘Hold my beer.’”
Heather initially put off going to her GP after noticing a change to her nipple because of her busy work schedule.
What are the signs of breast cancer?
BREAST cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK.
The majority of women who get it are over 50, but younger women and, in rare cases, men can also get breast cancer.
If it’s treated early enough, breast cancer can be prevented from spreading to other parts of the body.
Breast cancer can have a number of symptoms, but the first noticeable symptom is usually a lump or area of thickened breast tissue.
Most breast lumps aren’t cancerous, but it’s always best to have them checked by your doctor. You should also speak to your GP if you notice any of the following:
- a change in the size or shape of one or both breasts
- discharge from either of your nipples (which may be streaked with blood)
- a lump or swelling in either of your armpits
- dimpling on the skin of your breasts
- a rash on or around your nipple
- a change in the appearance of your nipple, such as becoming sunken into your breast
