Outspoken Plateau State clergyman, Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, has disclosed that he has instructed his family and church members not to provide any money for ransom if he is kidnapped by Fulani militants.
Recently, Dachomo, who serves as the Regional Chairman for the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in the Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State, has been actively combating bandits and militants who have attacked communities in the region, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of innocent individuals.
On October 25th, Rev. Dachomo raised an alarm, expressing concern over an alleged plot to eliminate him for daring to release a video showcasing the killings of Christians in the state—supporting numerous claims of Christian genocide in Nigeria, particularly in Plateau State.
In another video message shared on social media platforms on Sunday, the cleric suggested that he has been targeted for kidnapping.
Nevertheless, he expressed that he is prepared for any potential abductors, stating he would even urge them to kill him swiftly, as no ransom will be paid.
He emphasized that despite the kindness Christians have extended towards the Fulanis and Muslims, they have become a significant threat to the local populace in the state.
“We are showing them mercy; we are showing them love, but they do not recognize it,” he stated in the video.
“I do not know if I will be the next victim of kidnapping. I have already informed my family and my members that if I am taken, no one should contribute even a kobo.”
“If they kill me, my grave will speak. My blood will ignite a war that will lead to Christian liberation. That day is approaching. I am just waiting for them to come and kidnap me.”
“I will even say to them, ‘Please kill me quickly,’ because no one will pay any ransom. And if they contact my family, they will be told our father’s covenant is that we should not pay a kobo, ‘please kill him,’ because my blood will be significant even in death, and will continue to fight, knowing that Jesus has sanctioned this for me.”
“I will be more formidable in the realm of the dead. I will not remain in the realm of the dead; I will ascend to paradise. From there, I will make the Muslims very uncomfortable, which will lead them to repent and accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.”
“That day is coming. This is the desire of my heart. God has promised, ‘I will grant you the desires of your heart.’ I long to see Muslims repenting; I want to witness the Fulanis repenting and accepting Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior,” the passionate man of God declared.
