DONALD TRUMP has revealed he’ll pitch a potentially major UFC White House card change to long-time pal Dana White.

The card, which will be topped by a lightweight title unification bout between Ilia Topuria and , has been branded ‘ Freedom 250′.

But if has his way, the event’s name might change entirely.

During a recent media gathering, a journalist asked the President if the card should be named ‘UFC 1776’ in homage to the year the USA officially ended British rule.

The 79-year-old replied: “That’s a good idea. I’ll tell that to . I like that idea, actually.”

Trump, who will celebrate his 80th birthday on fight night, believes the card will be the biggest event he’s ever been involved in.

He said: “I will say, I’ve been involved in a lot of big events.

“I’ve never had an event which has had more interest than the UFC fight that we’re going to have right at the front door.

“They’re going to start building a 4,500-seat arena. At the back, we’re going to have maybe 100,000, 50,000 to 100,000 people, I guess.

“They’re building tremendous stages. And we’re going to have massive screens of the fight. It’s a very popular sport.

“I have never been involved… because of the White House and everything, there’s a lot of reasons for it.

“But we’re having a fight at the White House, and we’re going to have an arena at the front door.”

And the fight came to fruition after Trump had a word in the ear of White during the UFC 327 main card last weekend.

White revealed in the post-fight press conference: “What’s crazy is, organically, about an hour before that, the president said to me, ‘Why is Derrick Lewis not on the White House card?’

“I said, I’ll be back in five minutes. I went and called Derrick Lewis. I said, ‘The president wants to know why you’re not on the White House card.’

“Derrick Lewis said, ‘Politics kept me off the White House card.’ I said, ‘Do you want to fight on the card?’

“And he said, ‘I absolutely want to fight on the card. Tell the president thank you.’

“Then, I told Mick Maynard, ‘Find a fight for Derrick. Let’s talk about it next week and whatever.’

“Then, the Hokit fight happens. I have the headphones on and goes, ‘Is there another slot open on the White House card for Hokit?’

“I go,’ Holy s**t.’ I grab Mick and say, ‘Go back there and talk and see if he’s in.

“Hokit was getting into an ambulance and says yes.”
