MANY Dream Team managers have been taught a harsh lesson.
Dominik Szoboszlai (£5.4m) was the most transferred-out player ahead of Gameweek 25 and Liverpool’s No8 punished those who took such action with a 10-point haul against Brighton on Saturday.

It’s safe to assume that he vast majority of gaffers who ditched Szoboszlai did so because they assumed he was suspended for the Reds’ only Gameweek 24 fixture.
The Hungary international was shown a straight red card against Manchester City upon VAR review in Gameweek 23 for the denial of a goalscoring opportunity.
However, he served his suspension in full three days later when Arne Slot’s side edged out Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Sitting out that fixture meant that not only was he was available for the Seagulls visit to Anfield, he was nicely rested and ready to play 90 minutes.
Many gaffers fell into the trap of thinking Szoboszlai’s suspension would last three games, a punishment reserved for violent conduct and dangerous fouls.
The 25-year-old’s cynical pull on Erling Haaland was a professional foul, an infringement that incurs a one-game suspension.

Given Szoboszlai was Dream Team’s top midfielder heading into Gameweek 24 having been in fine form throughout the campaign, there was no logical reason for him to suffer such a dramatic dip in ownership during the run-up to Friday’s deadline.
Unfortunately for those guilty of this mistake, he was not in a forgiving mood come kick-off.
Szoboszlai scored his 10th goal of the season with a typically pure strike in the 56th minute.
Add in a bonus point (his 39th in total) and he ended up claiming his 12th double-digit haul of 2025/26.
And in a low-scoring Gameweek when many of the game’s most popular players are rested or limited to brief cameos, his returns are particularly valuable.

Predictably, Szoboszlai is already the most transferred-in player ahead of Gameweek 25, when Liverpool will face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Those who ditched him before his 10-point haul won’t be making the same mistake any time soon.
