HOLIDAYMAKERS with deep pockets can now rent or own a superyacht designed by fashion legend Stefano Gabbana.

Regina D’Italia, the ultra-stylish 65-metre yacht owned by Gabbana, has entered the charter market for the first time with rates starting at €480,000 (about $570,000) per week.

It comes after the vessel, whose name translates to ‘Queen of Italy’, was offered for sale last year with an asking price of €54million (£47million).

The move means potential buyers have the opportunity to try out the glam cruiser before committing to a purchase.

Brokerage firm Ocean Independence is marketing the yacht for sale and charter.

Chief commercial officer Toby Maclaurin said: “Her arrival represents a rare and refined new presence on the Mediterranean charter market.”

Built by Italian shipyard Codecasa in 2019, Regina D’Italia features a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.

While Codecasa was responsible for the exterior design and naval architecture, the interiors were created by Milan-based studio M2 Atelier, working closely with Gabbana himself.

After years of confidential development, the yacht is finally being revealed in full.

The luxury design reflects the bold and unapologetically glamorous aesthetic that defined Gabbana’s career since he co-founded Dolce & Gabbana in 1985.

Rich blue tones are paired with pale oak and teak, while Brazilian marble is used extensively throughout the yacht.

In the main salon mirrored ceilings meet blue silk wall panels, while the dining area centres on a designer table accompanied with high-backed leopard-print chairs.

Elsewhere on the main deck is the full-beam owner’s suite.

The lavish quarters include floor-to-ceiling windows, mirrored ceilings, two marble bathrooms and large walk-in wardrobes lined with silk, velvet and astrakhan.

The ship has four guest cabins on the lower deck, each with an en-suite bathroom.

Each comes with a private bathroom featuring more marble and mirrored ceilings.

All guest bathrooms also come with bronze taps shaped like different Italian hand gestures.

An additional cabin on the bridge deck can be used for guests, crew or even converted into a massage room.

The upper deck, reached via elevator, houses a gym, a seven-metre swimming pool finished in marble mosaic, and a sunbathing area with eight loungers.

At night, the space transforms into an open-air lounge.

A beach club and fixed aft platform provide direct access to the sea.

Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, the 1,300-tonne yacht can reach a top speed of 18.5 knots and has a range of 4,300 nautical miles.

Throughout her first charter season, Regina D’Italia will cruise along the Italian coastline and surrounding islands.
