Culture, when effectively utilized, has the capability to become a significant source of foreign exchange for Nigeria, stated Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
During the 39th Akesan Day Celebration at Christ Apostolic Church Grammar School in Iperu-Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area, the governor highlighted that many nations worldwide have diversified their economies through culture and tourism.

“Festivals like this attract thousands of visitors who support local businesses, artisans, entertainers, food vendors, hotels, and, of course, our transport operators,” Abiodun remarked.
“When effectively harnessed, cultural celebrations serve as platforms for tourism, similar to Lisabi Day, Oronna Day, Ojude Oba, and many others. They generate jobs and draw investments.”
