Former FIFA referee, Thorsten Kinhofer has criticized Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger for his antics in the Copa del Rey final.

Recall that Jules Kounde’s goal in extra time gave Barcelona a 3-2 win against Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final in Sevilla at the weekend.

Following Kounde’s goal, tensions boiled over on the Real Madrid bench in the closing stages of the encounter.

Rudiger attempted to confront referee De Burgos Bengoetxea and threw an ice cube at him.

The Germany international then received a red for his behaviour.

Rudiger later apologized for his behaviour towards referee De Burgos Bengoetxea.

However, Kinhofer was not pleased with Rudiger, labelling his behaviour as a disgrace and calling on Germany’s national team to take a disciplinary action against the former Chelsea star.

He told German publication BILD: “Rudiger’s behaviour is a disgrace.

“The national team coach should consider whether such a man can continue to represent our country.”;
