FEARS are rising for a “disoriented and frightened” woman who jumped out from a moving car almost a week ago – and has since disappeared.

Brittany Kritis-Garip, 32, was last seen on CCTV footage at around 8pm on Friday in the Oyster Bay area of Long Island.

Her husband, Fernando, says she threw her phone into a bush and ran off after leaping from the vehicle in a panicked state.

That was the very last time her family saw her.

“We’ve been combing wooded areas, rural areas and suburban areas,” her husband told News 12.

“So we’re just asking for the public’s help here. We really need the public’s help to locate her.

“We’re going to be at this until she’s home. I don’t care what we have to do, what needs to be done.”

Multiple search parties have been deployed to find Brittany as her family warned that “she needs help”.

Her wallet and toothbrush were discovered on a road leading down to the water near Oyster Bay Harbour, just a few metres from where she was last spotted two days after her disappearance.

Sarah Castor, a friend of Brittany’s who is helping lead the search, stressed that every second is “critical.”

“While law enforcement is actively involved, time is critical,” she wrote on a GoFundMe fundraising page.

The goal, she explained, is to hire a private investigator to help “canvass areas more extensively” and “review and track leads more quickly.”

So far, almost $15,000 has been raised to help the search.

Sarah added: “We believe that she was disorientated and frightened, and may think she is in danger.

“She is not dangerous – she needs help.”

Maryann Kritis, Brittany’s mother, said her family is doing “everything we can to bring her home”.

She urged people to go through their Ring cameras and security footage and check garages and sheds.

“Thank you for being such a caring community and for keeping Brittany in your thoughts,” the concerned mother added.

“Please continue to share her information. We just want her home.”

Since Brittany went missing, the Nassau County Police has deployed aerial assets, including a helicopter and drones, as part of the operation.

She is described as 5 foot 7 inches in height, 140 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black tracksuit and a black jacket with a fur collar.
