DEREK CHISORA is placing his bets on Fabio Wardley to surprise Joseph Parker – but he acknowledges that time is not on Wardley's side.
Wardley is set to face Parker this Saturday – broadcast live on DAZN PPV – as the underdog according to the bookmakers.

However, British veteran Chisora is supporting the underdog and shared his candid prediction with Parker’s coach, Andy Lee.
Chisora, 41, stated on SunSport’s No Glove Lost episode: “I’m just going to say this, I will put money on Fabio.”
Lee chuckled and replied: “Alright, I don’t have any money to bet you, but I’ll take a gentleman’s bet with you and I’ll choose Joseph.”
Chisora responded: “I’m going to put money on it. You didn’t ask me why I’m betting on Fabio though. Ask me why!”
Lee inquired, and Chisora explained: “Because I’ve known Fabio for years and he’s a good friend of mine. Plus, I’m not fond of his manager, Dillian Whyte!
“But honestly, I just thought, I want to put money on Fabio. I just want to give him a chance.”
The former middleweight remarked: “Yeah, listen, he has a good chance with his punching power and he can fight a bit.”
“Tell me what you see. What do you think he can do to win the fight?”

HEAVYWEIGHT boxing is making a comeback!
They will meet in what is anticipated to be one of the fights of the year.
It all takes place at the O2 Arena on Saturday, October 25, with both fighters aiming to move closer to world title contention in 2026.
Parker is arguably the most in-form heavyweight in boxing, having won his last six fights, including notable victories over Martin Bakole, Zhilei Zhang, and others.
Former white-collar star Wardley defeated Frazer Clarke last October and continued his momentum in June.

“I want to hear it myself because Derek is a very knowledgeable guy.”
As the tension in the room escalated, Chisora remarked: “Fabio can only win this fight in the first two or three rounds because Joseph takes time to settle into fights. That’s my perspective.
“Joseph takes time. If Fabio pressures Joseph, he can win the fight.”
David Adeleye added: “I expect Joseph to win.
“I see Joseph winning, but he just needs to stay focused and alert, avoiding any mistakes.”
