Chelsea legend, John Obi Mikel has urged his old club to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer transfer window.
According to the former Nigeria international, Chelsea’s new signing Liam Delap can learn from Ronaldo at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking in an interview with talkSPORT, the 38-year-old said he would like to see the Portugal captain
play for Chelsea at the inaugural expanded FIFA Club World Cup tournament.
“I think it might be Al Hilal if he [Ronaldo] goes, so they are trying to make him get to the tournament which will be good, even for the fans, and for all of us to see Ronaldo and Messi compete in another tournament,”; Obi Mikel said.
“It is amazing. Ronaldo is an amazing player and top goalscorer, it will be great to see him. Doing it at Chelsea? Yes.
“Of course, we need a number nine, and he is someone Delap can learn from.”;
Ronaldo’s future with Al-Nassr is unclear at the moment.
The 40-year-old is yet to sign a new deal with the Saudi Arabia club and recently hinted his time with the club is over.
