The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has instructed the troops of the 8 Division Sokoto and the Joint Task Force, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, to continue their operations and effectively eliminate bandits and terrorists in the region.

You must maintain this momentum to completely defeat the terrorists, whose actions against Nigerians can no longer be tolerated,” the COAS remarked.

The COAS also assured that he would support the troops by initiating the construction of additional housing, medical, and other essential facilities at Illela Barracks to boost morale and assist the soldiers and their families.
