Moment drug dealer lobs cocaine into baby’s pram while trying to flee cops

THIS is the moment a desperate drug dealer lobbed cocaine into a baby’s pram while trying to flee the police.

One wrap landed in a pram just inches away from an 18-month-old boy, and cops said it could have “easily been reached and consumed” by the youngster.

The child’s parents discovered it in the stroller a short time later and contacted police who confronted Khan – who they had arrested but not found any drugs on him.

The 34-year-old had hurled the Class A drugs away after officers spotted him acting suspiciously in a car.

Bodycam footage shows him leaping out of the driver’s door and running away from officers while holding the wraps in his hands.

He tried to get rid of the drugs by throwing them away.

Khan, from Telford in Shropshire, was arrested at the scene but no drugs were found in his possession.

Officers searched his home and seized heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis worth around £26,000.

Khan admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin and cocaine and two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

He was jailed for three years last Friday at Shrewsbury Crown Court .

The court heard he was spotted by officers in a white Mercedes near a One Stop shop in Arleston, Telford, on February 18.

While observing the car officers witnessed and exchange take place involving Khan.

When he noticed police approaching his car, Khan got out of the driver’s side and ran away.

Officers chased Khan, where he threw some of the drugs into the air with one wrap landing in the pram.

He also knocked over a young child during the chase, who was not injured.

Speaking after the case, Detective Sergeant Andy Pond, of West Mercia Police, said: “During the arrest Khan did not care about anyone but himself, which is evident with how carelessly he threw his supply in a last minute attempt to ditch evidence.

“The drugs that landed in the child’s pram could have had an unthinkable outcome as they had landed inches away from the child’s hand, which could have easily been reached and consumed.”
