While many fans are getting into the spirit with clothes, accessories and music, some are getting into the mood even more by sorting themselves a special head of .
And if it is inspiration they are after, then there is certainly a lot to choose from.
But what iconic World Cup haircut ranks top for fans?
Well, according to a new poll of 2000 UK adults conducted by Mortar commissioned by viagogo, 2002 mohawk takes the cake with a whopping 28 per cent of the vote.
The study found that Brits were craving nostalgia ahead of this tournament in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with ‘s skin-fade crop from Italia ’90 taking second.
Taking the final podium spot is ‘s ponytail and shaved sides look that will debut at this year’s World Cup after Norway qualified for the finals for the first time since 1998.
Another striker takes fourth with Brazilian ‘s triangular fringe haircut that defined the 2002 tournament.
Fellow Samba star ranked fifth with his blonde ‘Spaghetti’ top taking 10 per cent of the vote.

ENGLAND are dreaming of World Cup glory in North America this summer.
And you can show your support for Thomas Tuchel’s men by wearing the new Nike kits.
The white home jersey and red away strip were unveiled and went on sale in March.

The mullet look has made a comeback in recent years, no doubt helping Chris Waddle’s 1990 barnet to pick up sixth with nine per cent of the votes.
Another Norwegian haircut comes in at seventh, this time with ‘s bold leopard-print.
A pair of curly afros come in at eight and nine, with the long and curly hair of and star pipping icon Valderrama’s blonde equivalent.
And finally in at number 10 is the combover look of World Cup winner and former top goalscorer Sir , with six per cent of the vote.

Viagogo pulled out all the stops for their initiative, even – while he waits for the Red Devils to win five games in a row – for a few other striking looks, including a Beckham mohawk, Valderrama curls and Waddle mullet.
