Sevada sailed through his opening match.
During his press conference later on Wednesday evening, he admitted that he did not anticipate advancing.
When asked about his next steps, the 40-year-old stated: “I will figure that out. I’ve got to take my daughter to the airport tomorrow. Then we’ll see where I’m headed.
“Honestly, I was supposed to fly back home tomorrow.”
He further added: “I booked my seats because my assigned seat was in the middle, and I really don’t want to sit in the middle on a 10-hour flight!”
Sevada is set to face Charlie Manby in the second round on Monday.
Manby delivered one of the tournament's biggest surprises so far during his World Championship debut.
The 20-year-old secured a thrilling 3-2 victory in a five-set match against world No. 26 on Monday.
His opponent later reacted during the post-match interview and on stage.
Menzies later expressed his feelings and said: “First of all, I would like to apologize for what happened.
“I am sorry for my reaction. It’s not an excuse, but I have been dealing with a lot of personal issues recently, and I suppose it all became overwhelming at the end.
“It has been a challenging time for me, especially with my uncle Gary passing away recently.
“I saw him four days before he passed, and the look he gave me showed how much he cared.
“Had I won the match against Charlie, my next game would have coincided with Gary’s funeral, and that weighs heavily on my mind.
“Let me reiterate, that’s no justification for my conduct on stage. It was inappropriate, and I don’t want it to overshadow Charlie’s performance. He played exceptionally well.
“This is not how I wish to be perceived. Yes, I can be emotional, but not in that manner, and that was not right.”
