Several high-profile figures tipped the Dutchman to become a future long-reigning champion.

But he nigh-on vanished from the sport after losing his in 2020.

Van de Pas’ name has faded from the forefront of ‘ fans’ minds in recent years.

But he’s seemingly on the comeback trail after being spotted throwing at his old pub, where he used to play before turning pro.

Pub goers were delighted to see Van de Pas back in action, with several saying he hadn’t missed a beat.

Van de Pas was seen playing against countryman Jimmy van Schie, who scored a narrow 3-2 win.

A snap of Van de Pas throwing in his old local boozer started doing the rounds on social media and delighted darts fans.

One wrote on X: “I need to see this man on a PDC or WDF stage this year.

Another said: “Things you love to see in 2026.”

Fans of Van de Pas will be thrilled to hear that he’s practising three hours a day, according to PremierDartsData.

Van de Pas reportedly went completely cold turkey from the sport, so much so that he didn’t have a dartboard in his house.

But his girlfriend is said to have bought him one over the festive season and he’s keen to play more.
