GERWYN PRICE surprised a commentator with an unconventional tactic as he was eliminated from the World Grand Prix by Luke Littler.
The Iceman squandered a two-set lead in a heartbreaking match against the world champion.

Littler appeared to be on the verge of defeat at one point, but he rallied in the third set, and the momentum began to shift.
He broke Price’s throw to take a 1-0 lead and started strong in the second leg, while his opponent struggled to hit a double to start his leg.
Price missed his first six attempts at double, despite having a 180 that left him with just 134 to finish the leg.
With the leg nearly over, Price decided to practice and attempted to hit double 13 – much to the commentator's astonishment.
Sky Sports’ Mark Webster remarked: “Is my understanding correct that he hit double 13 with his second dart and then thought, ‘oh, I’ll practice on the 13 because I’ve been missing’?
“That is what he is doing! He is giving up the leg to get some practice on double 13.”
Littler, of course, won the leg and the next one, claiming his first set.
He then leveled the match, pushing it to a deciding set, while Price faltered, missing three darts to win the match.
The match came down to the final leg, and Price again struggled to find a double.
However, he was poised to throw for the match again before executing a sensational 152 finish.
The world champion commented after his victory: “It was very, very strange. Obviously, I wasn’t pleased to be down 2-0.
“In the first and second sets, I was just on the wire every single time. I couldn’t hit those doubles in. My sore throat is definitely worth it!
“I went 2-0 up and thought I was guaranteed to throw for the match. I told myself this has to go, and it did.”
