However, with Cross throwing at the oche, he realised something smelled off.

But rather than it being something to do with the board or his flights, the 34-year-old quickly realised it was actually his opponent’s doing.

Rock, 24, had faded into the background after his last throws, but was then seen smirking.

After his second throw, Voltage stepped back from the oche and cast a smile towards his rival.

He then asked: “Did you do what I thought you did?”;

The pair shared a laugh about it as Rock sheepishly replied: “Yet.”;

Seeing the footage of fartcident on , one fan said: “Josh Rock farting during his game against Rob Cross earlier today. If you need to let it go, you need to let it go.”;

A second said: “Fart flavoured H2O.”;

A third added: “JOSH ‘WINDY’ ROCK.”;

Another said: “Best sport on the planet.”;

A fifth said: “Move over James Wade, there’s a new kid on the block.”;

Wade is well known for his own smelly antics during darts matches, including leaving Peter Wright stunned as he popped one during a Player Championship 17 match last month.

He appeared to have done the same in September 2024, with fans convinced he had actually done a “shart,”; although he later claimed the velcro on his shoes was actually to blame for the noise.

Cross ended up winning his game against Rocky 6-5, before losing to Stephen Bunting in the semi-finals.
