DARREN TILL survived a horror cut as he edged Yoel Romero to maintain his perfect BKFC record.
The former stars, 33 and 49 respectively, headlined a stacked on Saturday night.
Till entered the bout as a heavy favourite due to Father Time being on his side.
The slick southpaw got his hand raised courtesy of a unanimous decision victory.
But Romero made the Liverpudlian work hard for the victory, which the judges gave him courtesy of 49-46, 49-46 & 49-46 scorecards.
After getting his hand raised, Till made it clear he’s willing to take on all-comers, including , whom he was scheduled to fight in a Misfits fight nearly two years ago.
When pressed on fighting the former star, he said: “Let’s get it on.
“I’m not gonna chase you. You want to get it on?
“I’m here in the bare knuckle. We can get on in the swing here.”
The first round was a cagey affair, with both southpaws taking their time to feel one another out.
Romero, however, showed he was arguably the most explosive near-50-year-old in the world with his few blitzes into striking range.
The tentativeness continued in the second, although Till started having some success with his left hand in the stanza.
The fight sprang into life in the dying embers of the third when Romero appeared to drop Till with a chopping shot in the clinch.
Till’s touching of the canvas, however, wasn’t ruled a knockdown.
A huge cut on the right cheekbone of Till bled profusely as he returned to the corner.
Till’s bid to land his left hand in the fourth was repeatedly thwarted by Romero’s insistence on clinching, much to the frustration of the crowd.
The best exchange of the fight happened late in the fifth, with Romero appearing to wobble Till with a looping hook.
Till got his legs back under him and swung it out with the Cuban crusher until the final bell sounded.
The crowd erupted after the exchange ended the affair, and the two men shared a warm embrace.
