Dangote Sugar Plc has appointed Mr. Thabo Mabe, a South African, as its new Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

This decision follows the unexpected resignation of Mr. Ravindra Singhvi, an Indian national.

The company announced this in a notice to shareholders on Tuesday, in accordance with the regulations of the Nigerian Exchange Limited.

Mabe’s appointment will take effect on December 1, while Singhvi’s resignation is effective from November 3, 2025. The company did not provide a reason for Singhvi’s departure.

“Mr. Singhvi made substantial contributions to the growth and transformation of the company and leaves behind a legacy of operational excellence,” stated Mrs. Temitope Hassan, Company Secretary and Legal Adviser.

Singhvi joined the Board on May 22, 2020.
