He’s doing well, as you can see. There was a lot of speculation yesterday on this platform and others regarding his well-being. A video from Dan will follow… pic.twitter.com/kCRYhv10vA
This post led to significant confusion and chaos surrounding Supreme favorite Mydaddypaddy.
The post, originating from an account named ‘Divock origi’, claimed that the prominent horse had sustained a ‘season-ending injury’.
This resulted in understandable turmoil in the betting markets, with the horse's odds drifting dramatically, while Willie Mullins’ Fact To File saw his odds soar for the King George.
However, Skelton assured everyone that the star novice hurdler is perfectly fine.
He shared a video of the unbeaten four-year-old—who is favored for the Aintree Grade 1 on Boxing Day—looking in great shape at his yard.
In another clip, Skelton stated: “Mydaddypaddy worked nicely up the hill this morning in preparation for the Formby.
“I’m very pleased with him, and he has been declared.
“I would like to clarify yesterday’s false news regarding his injury.
“An account with only two followers posted something that was frankly ridiculous, leading to several problems, both professionally and causing distress to the owners.
“Please use this platform responsibly, everyone.
“I do not wish to be caught up in unnecessary disputes regarding the health of horses.
“I will provide everyone with the truthful news as soon as I can.
“Mydaddypaddy was perfectly fine yesterday, yet people were misled by an account with two followers.
“Can we all agree that professionals will share the real news as soon as it becomes available?
“Please avoid listening to these misleading accounts.”
