CROWDS were left screaming after cyclists were sent flying by a police motorbike during a race.
The horror moment occurred during the Vuelta a , with athletes heading into a sprint for the finish line of Stage 3.

The incident occurred in Venezuela, leaving the crowd screaming in horror

The gruelling slog had seen churn out 141km on their bikes in the third leg.
But as the end approached, disaster struck.
Cheers from the crowd soon turned to screams after a police motorbike escorting the cyclists bizarrely cut across the track.
As it turned inwards, the police bike smashed into several cyclists, causing a pile-up on the side of the road.
Other cyclists ploughed past as they continued racing to the finish line.
But those caught up in the crash were left stricken on the floor.
Mundo Deportivo claims five people were injured in the incident.
Three of those were athletes, with the other two being the police officer riding the motorbike and a race judge who was accompanying him.
They were all taken to hospital for further tests but there has been no update since.
The crash put a dampener on the mega race, which is comprised of four stages totalling a whopping 350.4km
Fans reacted in disbelief online, with one saying: “Human stupidity knows no bounds.”
Another declared: “What an idiot.”
One noted: “Where are the stewards?”
Another added: “It is the fault of the policeman.”
