A civil society organisation, MonITNG, in a statement on Monday, faulted the Kebbi State Government for neglecting Kulu Koji Primary School in Jega Local Government Area of the state.

The CSO, which promotes accountability and transparency by tracking public infrastructure, said it found the school’s structure in a deplorable condition during a recent visit to the community.

According to the group, the school is the only primary school in Kulu Koji, but it has been left in ruins with crumbling walls, a blown-off roof, and no safe learning space for children.

The organisation noted that the school has not been renovated since 2014, when it was last rehabilitated by the Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC.

It faulted both the administration of former Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and the current administration under Governor Nasir Idris for failing to address the situation despite ongoing renovations in other parts of the state.
