Wharton has attracted interest from a host of top clubs since his £22.5m move from Blackburn Rovers in 2024.
But Palace are determined to keep hold of the four-time England international, who is contracted until 2029.

Man City have enquired about Wharton’s availability, but saw their approach rebuffed by Palace transfer chiefs.
And Eagles boss Pierre Sage has warned suitors that his star midfielder is not for sale this summer, revealing that he expects him to stay for at least another 12 months.
Sage said: “Now is not the moment to do that [sell Wharton].
“I think he is able to play for another club, a big club here or anywhere in Europe.
“But I think one year with us, one year with a new dynamic will be good for him.
“We need him and that’s why I think he will stay with us.”
Sage also ruled out a potential signing during his first press conference as Palace boss.

But Sage extinguished rumours of a romantic return for Zaha, who is a free agent following the completion of his contract at .
The Frenchman said: “I know he is a legend here and I am happy to see that he has these links with the club and the fans.
“But to be really honest, I don’t think he will stay with us.”
