CRYSTAL PALACE have booked their place in the Conference League proper.

The Eagles didn’t exactly get their fans dreaming of European glory with their performance as they edged past Norwegian side Fredrikstad 1-0 on aggregate.

Palace were 1-0 up from the home leg and made the trip out to Norway to try and see out the job.

For birthday boy Oliver Glasner that meant leaving things as they were.

The London club slowly plodded their way into the league phase with a sluggish 0-0 draw.

It may not have been the most exciting game of football, but with all the drama surrounding Palace’s entry into Europe this summer, perhaps 180 minutes of dull football is just what they needed.

Now Palace will wait to see who they will be playing in the competition proper during tomorrow’s draw.
