8-Year-Old Boy Suffers Brain Injury After Mother Abandons Him Naked in Freezing Forest as Punishment

A HEARTLESS mum abandoned her eight-year-old son naked in the freezing woods as a cruel form of punishment.

Single mum Susann S., 41, forced the terrified boy out of her car in the Eastern Ore Mountains of Saxony.

The youngster was left stark naked in the bitter cold after his mum allegedly drove him into a dark wooded area on November 30, 2025.

The brutal punishment followed a heated argument between Susann and her son, Bild reports.

According to the public prosecutor’s office, she ordered the boy into the car before driving him deep into the mountains in .

She then allegedly told him to strip off and get out.

The youngster was left naked in the freezing forest as temperatures plunged to around 0C.

Susann then reportedly drove away, allegedly intending to leave her son alone in the icy woodland.

In a desperate bid to escape, the terrified boy grabbed the door handle of the moving car.

But he lost his grip and crashed onto the icy road, smashing his head.

Susann then turned the car around and picked him up.

After driving him home, the injured boy complained of pain and his mum sought help from an acquaintance who was a paramedic.

The horrifying ordeal left the youngster with a traumatic brain injury, bruises and abrasions.

He also suffered memory loss and was forced to spend four days in hospital.

The traumatised boy has since been living in a children’s home in Saxony.

Susann, a trained childcare worker, had been living with her son in a small town near the mountains.

Her lawyer told the court the explosive argument broke out at bedtime, although the specifics were not disclosed.

The mum broke down in tears during her trial at Dippoldiswalde District Court.

She insisted her actions were a “one-off exceptional situation”.

“I never intentionally harmed my child.”

Susann is currently unemployed as a childcare worker and is on sick leave while undergoing therapeutic treatment.

Her lawyer argued that the single mum had received very little support while raising her son.

She pleaded with the judges not to hand her a sentence, arguing that the consequences were already devastating enough because her child no longer lives with her.

Reports said Susann considers herself a “loving mother” and suffers because her child is suffering.

But Judge Xaver Seitz and two lay judges handed her a nine-month sentence, suspended.

The judge branded the boy’s abandonment “particularly egregious”.

“He’s standing there all alone, not knowing whether you’ll leave completely or if he’ll be picked up again.”

Her lawyer explained in court that the fight broke out at bedtime but the specifics were not disclosed.

The mother broke down and cried in a trial at Dippoldiswalde District Court, arguing that her actions were a “one-off exceptional situation.”

She currently doesn’t hold a job as a childcare worker and is on sick leave.

She is also undergoing therapeutic treatment.
