Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, on Tuesday, November 25, presented a N1.39 trillion appropriation bill for the 2026 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly.

Presenting the estimate on the floor of the House, Governor Eno said the budget is christened “The People’s Budget of Expansion and Growth.”

He stated that 25 per cent of the budget is earmarked for recurrent expenditure, while 75 per cent is allocated to capital expenditure designed to stimulate growth and consolidate ongoing development.

He noted that roads and major infrastructure will take N387.5bn, with strong allocations for education, health, SMEs, and strategic projects across the three senatorial districts.

The governor also disclosed that revenue projection for 2026 stands at N1.146 trillion.

He therefore prayed the House for speedy consideration of the budget, assuring that the Arise Agenda will continue to deliver quality governance across the state.
