bagged his 978th career goal in the 50th minute, which proved to be the match-winner.

The soon-to-be former international tapped home from inside the six-yard-box to fire Al-Nassr top of the Pro League.

His tap-in, however, came from a goal-bound shot from team-mate .

The Frenchman’s low strike was destined for the back of the net.

But ever the poacher, Ronaldo diverted the ball the opposite direction and into the roof of the net.

There were brief concerns that the five-time winner may have been in an offside position.

But replays showed the 41-year-old was in an onside position when Simakan struck the ball.

Footage of Ronaldo’s goal-poaching went viral and became the talk of footy fans around the world.
