CRISTIANO RONALDO has admitted the end of his legendary career is getting closer but insists he is still enjoying every moment on the pitch as he continues to defy time.
The 41-year-old Portuguese superstar says he remains driven by the love of the game, even as he edges towards retirement after more than two decades at the very top of football.

Ronaldo said he is motivated not just by the current generation of fans and players, but also those who came before and those still to come.
He told CanalGoatBr after Al Nassr beat Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League:“I keep playing not only for this generation, but also for the previous one and the one coming next.
“I enjoy it day by day, game by game, year by year, even as I get closer to the end of my career. That’s a fact.”
The forward, whose career has taken him from Sporting CP to Manchester United, , and beyond, described his journey as “brilliant”, and says he wants to maintain that level until the very end.
He added: “My career has been brilliant and I want to keep it that way.
