Corrina Chantel, from the UK, took to social media to show off the mess her was in.

In one video, the mum revealed she had been offered a two-bedroom council with a garden for herself and her daughter.

But while the extra outdoor space sounded like a dream, the reality was far from it.

Corrina wrote: “POV: Before & After The Council Offered Me & My Daughter A 2 Bedroom With A Garden But The Garden Looks Like This…”

The garden was completely overrun with weeds, thick grass and tangled , making it almost impossible to see the ground beneath.

The brick walls surrounding the garden were also covered in ivy, making the space look more like an abandoned car park than a family garden.

But Corrina was determined to make it the perfect garden for her little family.

The mum tackled the overgrown garden by mowing down the grass, pulling out weeds and removing the ivy off the walls.

Just a few days later the garden had been transformed.

Now the garden was manageable and gave her daughter somewhere to play.

The video went viral on her TikTok account @ corrinachantel with over 140k views and 2,200 likes.

People were quick to take to the comments section to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: “So? Why would you expect perfection? Get and get grateful.”

Another commented: “It was better before you started.”

“WHY did you remove the ivy? best thing about the garden,” penned a third.
