CORRIEDALE is just hours away, and things appear poised to get intense for fan favorites, according to new behind-the-scenes images.

Characters from both shows are set to dramatically – and literally – collide in Monday night’s special, with a significant car pile-up endangering the lives of numerous characters.

It has already been confirmed that chaos will ensue.

Even those who emerge unscathed are expected to endure significant injuries if these newly released behind-the-scenes images are any indication. Nevertheless, the actors appear to be enjoying themselves while filming.

Filming took place during the night, with the cast bundled up in warm blue and red robes, sporting bloodied faces but smiling for the cameras between takes.

Natalie Robb, who portrays Moira Dingle on Emmerdale, is seen smiling in a blue robe while cuddling up to Alison King, who plays Carla Connor from Coronation Street, in one photo.

In another image, she poses with co-star Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle) alongside cobbles’ Jack P Shepherd (David Platt) and Julia Goulding (Shona Platt) for a cozy shot.

Actor Jeff Hordley, typically known for his gruff on-screen role as Cain Dingle, was also spotted smiling in another picture as he embraced his fellow cast members.

Shot on location in October, Corriedale promises to transform both soaps forever.

Throughout the episode, numerous plotlines are set to culminate as a drunken Carl (Jonathan Howard) flees from Debbie Webster’s wedding with the bride in tow.

Between Hotton and Weatherfield, a massive car crash will put several lives at risk, particularly when a minibus carrying wedding guests—including David, pregnant Shona, Steve, and Tracy—heads toward the accident with Billy at the wheel.

Additionally, the long-running love triangle involving Aaron, Robert, and the vengeful John Sugden is expected to reach a climax, while Kit and Carla rush in to save lives and track down fugitives. Meanwhile, Cain and Moira’s simple drive to the airport with Jacob and Sarah is disrupted by Mack, who is in his car with Charity, flashing his lights.

The one-hour special Corriedale episode is scheduled to air at 8 PM, following a regular episode of Emmerdale at 7 PM, and a 30-minute edition of Corrie afterward.

This special marks the launch of ITV’s new schedule, with both shows airing five 30-minute episodes weekly starting Tuesday. Emmerdale will permanently shift to 8 PM, while Coronation Street will follow at 8:30 PM each night.

This change means the shows will have one less episode per week compared to their current schedule.
