A FORMER Coronation Street star has landed herself a role in the hotly-anticipated Practical Magic sequel alongside some A-list names.
The soap actress, 32, appeared briefly in Corrie between January and June 2019 before her character left Weatherfield.

But now is returning to screens in a very different role, playing a young witch called Hannah, whose magical abilities are beginning to emerge.
These powers result in a series of supernatural events occurring throughout the film as she learns to handle her powers.
Her rebellious nature often tests the Owens family, who have to help keep her magic at bay.

Based on the novel of the same name by Alice Hoffman, the film follows the life of two witch sisters – Sally and Gillian Owens – who are bound by a curse.
The sisters must rely on their unbreakable bond and practical magic abilities to keep their family safe and try to break the centuries-old curse.
Practical Magic received many accolades including the Blockbuster Entertainment Awards’ Favourite Supporting Actress in a Comedy/Romance.
It also received nominations for the Funniest Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture at the American Comedy Awards and the Best Performance in a Feature Film at the Young Artist Awards.
Cassie played the role of Natalie Watkins in Coronation Street, a former waitress who turned to crime.
She assisted Nick Tilsley and David Platt in a storyline about money laundering, helping them to fleece £80,000 out of Audrey Roberts.
Aside from starring in Corrie, Cassie has also featured in , , and McDonalds & Dodds.
Practical Magic 2 is due to come out on September 11 in the UK.
