WORLD Cup fever is almost upon us, with a record 48 teams competing in this years tournament.

However, due to the times that the games will be shown, Britain’s favourite soaps will be affected.

England kick off their World Cup campaign against Croatia on June 17 at 9pm, and also play at 9pm on June 23 against Ghana, finishing the group with a 10pm start time against Panama on June 27.

Coronation Street is one of the soaps that will be affected during the tournament, with it’s regular 8.30pm start time clashing with England’s coverage.
