MOLLIE Gallagher has bid Coronation Street its last farewell in an emotional post online.

The soap star shared a duo of photos of her character, Nina Lucas, on Instagram alongside what she deems as only a goodbye “for now”.

The statement reads: “Nina and Corrie you have been a dream.

“I stepped foot on to the cobbles almost 7 years ago and what a time it has been!

“As a working class Actor from Salford I am proud to be part of a show that feels like home, and I am beyond grateful for everything, and everybody there.

“Corrie brought a dream of a character to life and I can’t believe l get to say I played a dream role for my first ever acting job.”

Fans were sad to see taking her final bow but they were also so proud of her.

One user said in the post’s comments section: “So proud of you always.”

A second shared: “Wishing you all the best Mollie!!”

A third added: “you deserve every opportunity and happiness in the world.”

A spokesperson for confirmed: “Mollie has created a unique and well loved character in Nina over the past six and a half years and everyone will be sorry to see her go.”

Mollie won’t be enjoying a quieter pace of life for long, as she has already secured her next role.

The star is swapping the screen for the stage as she will be making her stage debut as Clarice Starling in the UK and Ireland tour of Silence of the Lambs.
