CORONATION STREET shock as a soap legend has been revealed as Theo Silverton’s killer.
The villain was , with his death sparking a two-month long ‘whodunnit’ and six characters named as suspects.

The were revealed to be Todd Grimshaw, Gary Windass, Summer Spellman, George Shuttleworth, Christina Boyd and Danielle Silverton.
Each character had a motive to murder Theo, following his relentless abuse of partner Todd for months.
His body was found by a horrified Betsy Swain in the backyard of the corner shop during the soap’s first-ever flash-forward episode.
In tonight’s hour-long episode, which is already available to watch on , the killer is finally unmasked.
Fans have had their money on several characters but it looks like it wasn’t one of the six suspects after all.
Theo’s murderer is in fact, Sarah Platt – who is best pals with Todd.
During a dramatic dinner party, tensions were high as Maria Connor confronted Gary and Sarah over their suspected affair.
But it turns out the pair were hiding a much darker secret.

In a flashback, Sarah received a text from Todd’s phone and when she went to his flat to investigate, she was confronted by Theo on the scaffolding outside.
The pair faced off, with Theo hurling insults at Sarah before threatening her with violence.
It all came to a head when Sarah grabbed a metal pipe and smashed it over his head, leading to him plummeting to the ground below.
A panicked Sarah called Gary, who instructed her to wash her hands and make sure she’s seen by somebody for alibi purposes.
It looks like Sarah’s crime might soon catch up to her as Gary warned her that he couldn’t keep protecting her at the detriment of his own life.
He said he was going to tell wife Maria the truth about why he’s been so secretive, leaving Sarah terrified.
When his death scene first aired in April, fans were in uproar as they believed the character should have faced a punishment for abusing Todd.
Many viewers were disgruntled over how another domestic violence culprit had been killed rather than being punished by the law.

One fan on X penned: “So they have kept us watching for months, hoping Theo would be punished for the violence, then kill him off. Doesn’t show any hope for real life victims. Writers and producers need sacking.”
Another added: “Just realised all of #Corrie’s domestic abusers over the past decade or so – are now dead.
“Yes, Kirsty was sent to prison but was killed off-screen years later.
“Yasmin was put through hell with Geoff. Todd deserved justice for all Theo did and murder is no proper comeuppance.”
While a third said: “As a lot of people have mentioned on here, it does seem like abusive characters do die on the show and I would’ve loved this to be the case for Theo, he deserved to face justice for everything he done to Todd.”
, who plays Sarah, has been on the soap since 1999 as part of the iconic Platt family.
She made her debut in 1999 and was on-screen for nine years before taking a break.
After seven years away, she made her highly-anticipated return in 2015 and has been heavily involved in huge story lines ever since.
Viewers will have to keep watching the soap to see if Sarah will be caught for killing Theo and what this means for her character.
